Once downloaded you will need to double click the icon to install.
Once installed, use the "check for updates" feature of each
program to get current.
NOTE: Do NOT confuse "updates" with "upgrade".
UPGRADE usually means you want to get the "buy" version.

Download, then remove avg 7.5, then install ver 8.
You should UNCHECK the toolbar offer during setup.
Toolbars are unnecessary and buggy!
I also uncheck the offer to let them
track your surfing. I just don't like them following me around.
PWORDS - Little program to store your passwords.
I made this password keeper in an editable WORD table. If you download
this program....email me here:
and I will email you the password and how to CHANGE
the password.
You can change passwords for access to PWORDS
when you open it. (download time with DSL = 1 SEC.)
Get a REAL NICE browser with NO, that is ... NO SECURITY HOLES.

You can set it up with 9 of your favorite sites on the start page
as graphic icons. Just click and go!
SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY - FREE EDITION
Catches and wipes out spybots, etc, that the other spyware
programs CLAIM to get. Scan once per week, call me in the morning.
NOTE: You should click on "check for updates" with Adaware AND Spybot EACH time
you open them and get the new updates prior to scanning.
POPTRAY - Use to check your email before downloading - great!
PopTray is an excellent program. You setup an account just like you would in
your email program to get your email. Poptray then shows you whats on the SERVER.
Now you can delete the spam and unknown crap BEFORE you download it to
your PC. You can set RULES for poptray to delete spam WITHOUT you even having
to know about it. GREAT LITTLE PROGRAM that I wouldn't be without.

Spybot and Adaware - you will need to "check for updates" before scanning
and do this once per week.
Avg Free Antivirus will automatically check for and install it's own updates
and will check all your email and watch your system constantly.
